NoteVault Just Works
Overall Satisfaction with NoteVault
NoteVault is used in both our Florida and Michigan operations (mainly in Florida). Our superintendents and other laborers in the field use NoteVault on either their iPhones or iPads, along with using it on their computer. This allows for users to put together a very easy to look at daily report. It allows them to take pictures and make notes on the fly. The transcribing feature is fantastic because it allows the user to speak what they want to write, and it auto generate into the report. And there is also Spanish to English transcribing.
Pros
- The transcribing is fantastic. Allows users to be safer out in the field. Also allows for employees that are more comfortable speaking Spanish, speak in their language, and have it transcribed in English.
- The apps work really well, especially the NoteVault Notes! app.
- NoteVault also auto detects weather at the job site 3 times a day.
- It will also geo-locate the user. This way it can almost prove someone was on site (or off site).
Cons
- Sometimes the autoweather misses a log time. There were more issues with it about 3 months ago. Right now, it seems to be working well.
- Employees are actually doing their daily reports on a daily basis. We had problems before where an employee would do them whenever he felt like. But we are able to watch what is going on a little better, and don't have to have as much contact with the job site as we did. We know what is going on every day.
- Sage
We could use the daily report feature in our current project management software, but it doesn't have any many features. NoteVault is a no-brainer.
