Overall Satisfaction with Odoo

We use it as our ERP system. We will also be using it as our POS.

Pros

  • Manufacturing orders.
  • Support
  • Shipping

Cons

  • POS is missing a lot of functionality.
  • Can be glitchy.
  • Seems to do MOST of everything. But has gaps.
  • In older versions, it was super expensive to make it even work. You had to hire third-party developers all the time.
  • Newest versions have better built in functionality.
  • Cost is pretty high. Odoo plus developers to support it could bankrupt a small business.
In my opinion, it has a lot of "a mile wide but an inch deep." It does a lot of things, but not well.

It does seem to be getting better now that Odoo Corp is getting more involved. It is good in manufacturing but not in POS.
