Odoo is a versatile software that caters to various business needs. One of its primary use cases is inventory management, where users rely on Odoo to effectively track and manage their stock levels. With the ability to store revision changes and Bills of Materials, the software provides a comprehensive solution for manufacturing production orders. Additionally, Odoo serves as an ERP system for HR functions, project management, and sales processes, allowing businesses to streamline their operations.

While Odoo offers a wide range of functionalities, some users have expressed disappointment with certain aspects of the software. For instance, there have been concerns regarding the lack of support and slow response time from customer service teams. Users have also found the user interface to be unintuitive, which can lead to difficulties in navigating and customizing the software. As a result, many users have had to rely on licensed support teams for assistance in utilizing Odoo's full potential.

Despite these challenges, Odoo has proved valuable in various business functions such as purchases, invoicing, accounting, and MRP. Some users have found it particularly useful for CRM, AR, invoicing, customer follow-up, tracking, and quotation management. Moreover, Odoo has been implemented as the main ERP system in departments such as sales, logistics, finance, and support. It has also been successful in replacing other ERP systems like NetSuite/Oracle for managing sales, inventory, purchases, accounting, and webshops.

In addition to its application in traditional businesses, Odoo is widely used by service providers for managing e-commerce websites. They rely on it for backend maintenance tasks like user role management and custom module development. Furthermore, Odoo offers support for server deployment and can assist with website performance optimization.

It's worth noting that while many users have had positive experiences with Odoo's functionality and capabilities, some have encountered issues with basic features and broken promises from the company. Pricing concerns and interactions with company representatives have also been problematic for some users. Nevertheless, with the flexibility and range of features it provides, Odoo remains a popular choice for businesses seeking an ERP solution that can handle multiple aspects of their operations.

Easy to Use and Learn: Many users have found the software easy to use and learn, thanks to its intuitive and user-friendly interface. They appreciate how quickly they can navigate through the software and complete tasks without feeling overwhelmed or confused.

Detailed Instructions: Users highly appreciate the detailed instructions provided within the software. These instructions make it easy for them to navigate different features and functionalities, ensuring that they can efficiently complete their tasks. They mention that whenever they encounter any issues or need assistance, the support team is quick to respond within a maximum of one hour. This prompt response from the support team ensures that users can get back on track with their work without experiencing significant downtime.

Confusing User Interface: Many users have expressed frustration with the user interface of Odoo, stating that it lacks clarity and requires major improvements. They find it difficult to navigate through different modules and perform tasks efficiently. Some have mentioned specific examples, such as certain features being non-intuitive or poorly organized, making it challenging for new users to understand how to use them effectively.

Slow Support Response Time: Several users have voiced disappointment regarding the support response time in Odoo. They claim that after submitting a support request, it has taken them at least 3 days to receive a response from the support team. This extended waiting period can be frustrating when they encounter urgent issues or need prompt assistance.

Limited Reporting Capabilities: Users have raised concerns about the reporting capabilities in Odoo, mentioning that there are limited possibilities to seamlessly integrate with third-party Business Intelligence platforms. This limitation restricts their options for data analysis and visualization, making it difficult for them to gain deeper insights into their business operations and make informed decisions based on comprehensive reports.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

In my opinion, What a horrible company! The first interaction I had with the human at this company was to tell me that the purchase we made was too little and that they were going to charge us double or erase everything we've done! When they spoke to me, they claimed that their website charged the wrong amount because our company operates in different countries and therefore they would be doubling the price. He then stated that they were allowed to do this because their terms of service so that they can change the price and less specified in writing. However, when we made the purchase it was specified in writing exactly how much we would have to pay. I guess they don't honour their own terms of service. I think this company has certainly earned the poor score and bad reviews it has... I saw that before purchasing and figured that we would be fine since I would just rely on the fact that I was never going to deal with anyone at the company. However, not so. In my experience, the company had such poor customer service that I think they would be better off to just get rid of all of the people and make it purely software, I think at least then you would know what you get...

We switched over to Odoo based on the vendor promises and we did a trial. On the surface everything works, but as soon as you get into implementation, and the detail, you'll discover basic things just don't work. Don't expect an experience like Xero, or Hubspot where everything just works. In my experience, simple functionality like sending a purchase order just breaks. "Internal Server Error" is what we get. Anytime we log a job it takes about 4 days for a response and then the first response is always a fob off. "Oh it's just this, you didn't do this", in the end you have to do screen recordings to prove it and then they disappear. We have been on the platform for 6 weeks now. Paid them twice and to date, not a single job has been closed. Their internet banking integration just straight up does not work with the banks they promise. We use their SaaS services because we want to use the actual software vendor rather than an open source self hosted solution and it still does not work. Do not buy.

Odoo is used for Sales, Inventory management, Purchase management, Accounting, and public and B2B Webshop - and it was implemented to replace NetSuite/Oracle which is used in the "corporate HQ". As the European division became an independent importer from Jan 1st, 2022 we quickly needed a system to import all the existing sales orders and manage inventory, etc. We have only 1 vendor in Canada - and we have approx. 50-60 dealers who we distribute to within Europe.

We used Odoo for our CMS management and our ERP system. After being disappointed and frustrated by their services, support, and capabilities, we made the switch to HubSpot which has been incredibly better. Odoo is NOT intuitive or user friendly and you will 100% end up spending more trying to hire people who actually will give you the time of day needed to get work done on your systems. The lack of support, response time, and User Interface in Odoo is extremely bad; which just compounds the lack of support issue. The system seems to be designed by hundreds of different app developers, who have no association to Odoo so they are clunky, frequently breaking because they're outdated from a system update in Odoo. On its surface, it seems like it would be an easy-to-use solution, but the moment you go to needing anything somewhat custom or slightly different from their default the system becomes extremely complicated and you have to hire their licensed support team. It's just constantly trying to get more and more money out of you with very little return to the consumer.

Don’t use Odoo – My horrible experience This company doesn’t care about your company and how it can help. All they care about is to make you sign up before showing their true colors. After having a long conversation with Odoo support, the Odoo CS proposes a set of apps for my business. Tells me that these apps are good enough for all my business operations. During the trial, I found out the app was lacking a few features and the process was complicated. I get assurance from them that they have a solution. Based on faith, I signed up for their annual package. However, they couldn’t provide me with a proper solution for consignment inventory and proposed a “workaround” which doesn’t work for my business. Then comes the bombshell. They entice you with the cheap apps only for me to find out I need another app called the “Studio” app to make everything work. This is the MOST EXPENSIVE app. I feel cheated and tricked. I requested a refund. They took their time (before signing up they responded in 24 hours) to reply despite many emails and always rejected my request saying their system is good enough for my company. I pleaded many times to them to do the right thing, but they ignored all my requests. We are a small company with 3 people working here and this was a huge loss for us. Despite knowing we won’t be able to use their system, they refused to give a refund and stuck with their narrative. I even requested them to get on a call with me and prove to me, that their system was good for my company but that too they refused and told me to learn myself. Complete change of attitude and terrible professionalism. We have been badly hit financially because of Odoo and it has affected our business. I feel cheated by the representative who was looking to secure an account at any cost. I find this company immoral and untrustworthy that should not be supported. STAY AWAY FROM ODOO. They shouldn’t get away with such act. Unless rejected by the public, they will not change their way of doing things. They have taken my money for an account that won’t be used, and they are fine with it. This is UNFAIR, UNETHICAL, and not a model company behaviour. This is pure GREED and a company with no MORAL values.

Odoo is being used by all departments across the organization as our HR system is built on it. It handles our vacation management, payroll management, and extra work day requests. Also, it keeps track of the organization hierarchy with all relevant information and contact details for each employee in the organization.

We bought Odoo ERP to be used across the whole organization. But within the 14 days after accepting the contract and made payment, we decided to cancel it because the service they were offering us was not as we expect for a ERP consultant.

Odoo is a complete ERP business management software, with an embedded CRM system. It is used by several stores in the organization. My IT colleagues and I use Odoo primarily to manage IT projects, services, acquisitions, sales, and miscellaneous notes. With Odoo we have more control of the projects, and we optimize our time. One of the most important things is the reports too, which are customizable and complete.

We use Odoo mostly for inventory management. POs are stored in Odoo, and those are linked to receipts, quality inspections, and inventory inputs. We also use this product for managing manufacturing production orders and creating traceability between the lots of raw materials received and the final product assemblies. Related to this, Odoo is the second place where revision changes and relevant BoMs are stored.

We provide services using Odoo. We have launched an e-commerce website based on Odoo 10. We actively maintain the backend along with the user role management and various technical aspects of Odoo, such as developing custom modules. We implement extra functionality by extending Odoo and various other stuff related to Odoo. We also support users to deploy Odoo on their production server.

Odoo is used as the main ERP for the company and mainly for our sales department. However, three other departments such as the logistics and finance departments are also using it, including the support department that I am the manager of. It used for all of the sales related business processes as well as finance operations including the logistics that are needed to carry these tasks out. The operations carried out with Odoo include basically everything starting from the first step of selling to ending with the invoices, and sales orders to shipping.
