Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud K-12 “ON” Solutions

onCampus is used by my children's high school. It allows for one login to access the various portals for student and parent use - billing, lunch account, communications, grades, college planning, and general school information. It reduces the number of individual login points of access for parents and students.

Pros

  • Updated and timely access to all points of interaction with the school.
  • Ease of navigation.
  • Communication with school staff with one click.

Cons

  • Due dates on assignments are a bit confusing if not updated by the teachers.
  • Improved communication between home and school.
  • Improved accountability for teachers and timely posting of grades and assignments.
  • Improved feedback for students on progress. Rubrics can be linked and teachers can enter comments, not just a letter grade.
onCampus seems to be well-suited for schools that use multiple areas of communication and information to their parents and students. The variety of reports available in the gradebook module makes understanding how my student is doing very easy - homework, quizzes, projects, tests each have their own section.
