Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
We started using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure service as it was offering us some machine as lifetime free which was not exactly the case. We thought of having diverse vendor service as dependency on single cloud service was not good. The performance of provided machine was quite good and we created few test instance on it. Later on we realize that provided compute service was free for some time only.
Pros
- We mainly used ARM based processor which provided good performance
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provides their own flavor of operating system and other OS that you can choose from
- Object Storage service is also good and even provides more limit the other market vendors
Cons
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure function provide very limited memory which is very less compare to other service provider
- Lifetime free terms and conditions are not properly defined.
- Transcription and vision service needs improvement.
- Our cost has reduced for infrasturcture
- Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and AWS Lambda
