Overall Satisfaction with Oracle GoldenGate
We use GoldenGate for migrations purposes as well as ad-hoc purposes for one of our critical business applications.
Pros
- Migrations
- Ad-hoc reporting which avoids prod performance in peak business hours
Cons
- Lot of bugs need to be nailed down
- Some missing functionalities
- Positive is a near zero time cutover for migrations
Equally as good as GoldenGate but not as comfortable as GoldenGate functionality wise.
