Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

Paychex Flex is used by the whole company for payroll. It enables me to seamlessly and easily handle payroll and tax-related issues.
  • Pay employees
  • Pay associated payroll taxes.
  • Generate needed reports.
  • Reminders when regular payroll has not been processed.
  • Ability to auto-schedule payroll.
  • It saves time and makes payroll take minutes instead of hours.
I have used other large-scale systems in the past that would be too much overhead for our small organization. I like to keep us lean and focused and spend as little time and resources on overhead as possible. This lets us operate without adding people to handle this function.
The one glitch I had, missing year-end payroll, the implications, and tax responsibilities were not made clear to me. It was a bad and expensive mistake on my part, and I was charged fees for handling it and adding it back into 2020, but no one stepped up to help me despite requests. It should never be allowed to happen without a warning or reminder of some sort.

The reports were confusing at first, and if you are new to this type of system a checklist of what to do, what reports are available, and how to use them would be helpful.
For a small business, this makes payroll easy. Also, we are ready to scale and grow as needed.
