Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

We use it for our staff payroll. In addition, we are a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility and part of our yearlong recovery program includes a work program. So we also use Paychex to pay the men who are in the program.

Pros

  • Simple to load and run payroll
  • Links well with our QuickBooks General Ledger
  • Phone support when I have questions is outstanding
  • Easy implementation of garnishments

Cons

  • I really can't think of anything. For what I use it for it meets all my needs.
  • Again, we are a pretty small nonprofit. Efficiency and ease of use are the most important impacts.
  • Knowing Paychex is taking care of all the tax reporting and garnishment calculations is very helpful
  • Year-end W-2 processing went very well and was timely.
Positively - It has been helpful in tracking our work program hours separately from staff hours. Provides amount of detail necessary to compare actual results to budget.
My support person, Julie R. is outstanding. Here response time is excellent and she always is able to quickly solve any issue I have. I also love that if Julie is off or on vacation, the email request I might have rolls to someone else and they immediately resolve my issue.
Paychex far exceeds the QuickBook payroll system I used our first year. QuickBooks did not handle local taxes and I was responsible for filing those reports and returns.

I have no issues with the usability of Paychex. It delivers everything I need.
It is simple to use and takes away the stress of dealing with Federal, State and Local tax filings. We have a smaller operations so I can not speak to possible issues if we employed over 100 people. I really love the product and recommend it to others when the opportunity arises.
