Overall Satisfaction with Planview Projectplace
We are using Projectplace as a coordination and management tool among the different partners of a European project, both from industry and academia. Here, at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Projectplace is being by our group only in the context of this international project, and we only use English as the official language.
- A set of different tools to manage meetings, documents, members, Gantt charts, etc. all integrated into the same framework.
- Document version control.
- Desktop application to locally store and update files.
- A meeting platform functionality, such as GoToMeeting or Skype for Business, would be very valuable.
- The possibility to integrate with other platforms, like software development tools or repositories (GitLab), would be nice.
- Maybe a collaboration hub similar to Slack would be useful.
- We are a research institute, so we don't focus on ROI or business objectives.
I started to use ONLYOFFICE also very recently, so I don't have a very detailed idea of how it compares with Projectplace, but from my initial contact, I can say that Planview seems much more complete and with a lot more functionalities. So, if possible, I would like to continue using Projectplace in all my projects.
