Overall Satisfaction with Planview Projectplace

It's a tool we are evaluating in the department. It addresses the full view of ongoing projects across business areas and resource availability. The product is used in other parts of the company at different levels. We use only the Swedish language but our company has multiple European sites.

Pros

  • Planning
  • Task allocation
  • Portfolio management

Cons

  • Project status report, one pager sort with stats.
  • The excel export of the plan is really ugly looking and often contains more information than needed.
  • Not enough insight.
Better than all the above.
It is a very good tool for overall project management.

We’re planning to enhance the status reporting capabilities of a workspace, but already today you can define your own KPIs in Portfolios and follow up on status there. Alternatively, you can use the Power BI application to design your own reports: https://success.planview.com/Projectplace/Integrations/Visualize_your_Projectplace_data_using_PowerBI .
