Overall Satisfaction with Prophix
Used by accounting and FP&A teams for budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. We feed information in from our accounting system and other systems for analysis in various Prophix cubes.

- Adhoc reporting
- offline templates
- Needs compliance reporting for SOX audits. We had to build this ourselves.
- Report and offline template performance is slow.
- Can only run one process at a time. Even on different cubes.
- It is well liked by reporting users and has allowed us to move away from some other financial reporting tools.
- The licensing model is difficult. Can't separate the database and application servers without extra charges. Can't have test system without extra charges.
We have integrated Prophix with our accounting system (Dynamics GP) and several other home built MS SQL based systems.
The cloud is important to our stragety. It would be nice if Prophix was offered as a cloud/SAAS service rather than deploying it to servers in the cloud.
Have not looked at competing products recently.
