Overall Satisfaction with Prophix
The entire organization uses Prophix for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and to provide non-Accounting employees financial insight. By adding Prophix, we have automated the annual budget process and removed issues around formula errors and multiple spreadsheets.
- Automate the budget process by utilizing workflows.
- Ability to drill down into the details of a line item on the financial statements.
- Mitigates keying/formula errors in spreadsheets.
- The tool is similar to Excel, however, it has some differences that take time to get used too.
- Building the model usually takes consulting hours that are an additional cost.
- An excellent way to hold the Ops team accountable to their budget by having actual vs budget reports and the ability to add comments.
- Great tool for quickly analyzing multiple years of data.
Integration was seamless compared to other IT projects. We use Microsoft GP and were able to connect our SQL tables to the tool. It took a few hours of conference calls and by the end of the week, data was flowing into Prophix.
We utilized the cloud because that software is kept up to date and was easy to connect to.
We got a solid reference from an employee we hired that used Prophix at their previous company. Overall, they are light years ahead of BI 360.
