Overall Satisfaction with Pure Storage FlashArray

While they may take more than a business day to get back to you they come back with all of the information that you need the first time. Firmware and maintenance is done with nothing more than allowing access to their support teams. If any roll back is necessary they are quick and decisive in actions. Currently have yet to have a hardware failure from the PURE. Support is proactive in their maintenance requests and work around your timelines.
We use it for our most critical database applications. It fixed our latency issues from our services trying to connect to the db servers. It also provides 3 times the amount of data compression than other SAN systems which allowed us to move more mission critical systems onto higher quality storage.

  • Management and deployment is relatively easy.
  • Volume management can be cumbersome.
  • Price can cause some sticker shock.
  • Block level storage only.
  • Took down time of hypervisors to seconds.
If you need fast, dependable, block storage for file servers, database servers, high I/O applications then PURE has been the best at what you need. If you need this to be an all in one solution that can provide other services than just high speed storage this not something recommended. This is definitely tier 1 storage not made to be used for archiving.
