Overall Satisfaction with Pure Storage FlashBlade

Pure Storage FlashBlade is primarily used in PCF and Kubernetes POD design. It is used in these POD designs for object storage and has been very reliant in uptime and has a very easy use to interface for external users.
  • Easy to use interface.
  • Very customer eccentric upgrades with virtually no down time needed.
  • Performance and space savings through Dedupe and compression.
  • Synchronous replication functionality to DR sites.
  • More denser and price effective arrays for mass market.
  • Ability to perform Host migration using Pure tools.
  • More siloed architecture.
  • Expensive for smaller apps.
  • Too early to predict ROI.
Pure Storage FlashBlade has been really useful in POD designs in our environment because of being very denser and small but providing the same performance and resilience. Its space savings through Dedupe and compression also helped us oversubscribe the array and helped us reduce power and rack usage. FlashBlade being a 1RU panel has helped us be in 1 rack but serve multiple AZ (availability )zones.
