Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base

Quick Base at ELC has a few hundred users and we all use it in different capacities around the globe. I work with various teams to understand their requirements and then the best way to build their Quick Base app while training them on the program. One example of a problem a brand was facing was they were deploying digital devices to multiple points of sale globally but was not able to track where and when. We built a database for them to track the deployments of the devices as well as the future update status of software deployment. I love how customizable the program is and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save time on their projects!
  • Customizing reports is super simple.
  • Beautiful dashboards that are customizable per user
  • Sharing information capabilities
  • Took me personally a while to understand the relationship keys and text proxy but after I understood it, it is a piece of cake!
  • Not able to search all the contents of an entire app with multiple criteria, similar to a Google search.
The same example I previously explained about deploying digital devices at Points of Sale globally is the perfect example. We built tracking for all of the deployments and with a many-to-many relationship and Quick Base action we were able to tie the software details to a device; track the history and have a report with the most up to date status all in one Quick Base app!
Quick Base is 1000 times more intuitive and does a lot of the work for you. Microsoft Access is very much for users that actually do know how to code-if you ask me.
  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
Yes, my team has helped other teams create multiple apps to solve their business problems. Once we had to understand where there was overlap between meetings and documents to reduce the amount of duplicate work so we create an app to see where things were happening to target and resolve those areas and improve efficiency in the process.
I do not know how to code at all. The extent of my knowledge is you need to add a parenthesis to the end of a sentence if you start it with one! I have built pretty detailed apps without having to code really anything and if I did have an expert question Quick Base was always there to help!
Within a 4 tables direct one-to-many relationship, we decided to cut out the third step. I have to migrate all the data and change the relationships and basically the entire workflow. Because Quick Base is easily updated I was able to do it in a matter of hours!
Quick Base is well suited for tracking programs and providing updates when multiple team members are involved-but also individually as well. I haven't run into any scenarios that I wasn't able to customize Quick Base for yet.
