Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

It's being used across [the organization] as an easier and prettier reporting tool than Excel.

Pros

  • Can be access anywhere through a site portal.
  • Good for Management Reporting.

Cons

  • The security infrastructure isn't structured well enough to protect clients' QuickBase information.
  • Doesn't allow us to highlight or bold for reporting purposes.
  • Admin role's function is limited to what can be retrieved; instead we have to ask QuickBase for the reporting.
  • We weren't able to draft an agreement / contract with QuickBase and signed a mutually agreed T&C. Especially for financial firms like us, it is absolutely important to know how is our data being handled by the vendor, etc.
  • Excel
QuickBase is not robust like Excel, but we see that QuickBase can develop more functionality if they want to.

Since we have various types of companies' information, QuickBase does not allow us to draft an agreement. In the invoice and T&C, there is no security language, business continuity, the use of contractors, and privacy language showing how QuickBase will protect our clients' information.

In terms of security flaws, QuickBase also
allows third parties to provide links to other sites and then refutes all
accountability for the same. Also, Two Factor Authentication is not available by QuickBase.

In terms of the application usage, so far it is OK, just looks prettier. But it's not as functional as Excel, where you can bold and highlight in the report along with other sorting methods.
