There were instances that clients do provide their books with using Xero and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. When we export data from each other, they do compliment with the data and it's not far from analyzing each of them to see any difference from each sheets. You may need to make sure that you export the only specific data that you need from each so you can compare and use them together efficiently.

Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite is a very good alternative to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. It is installed and web-based at the same time, taking a load off the server computing power. I think it also is very much more user friendly. As mentioned, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise makes any such transitions almost impossible so the move has to be a grand one with expectations of lots of data loss.

I have told Intuit when I've called in for Support for QuickBooks Online how much it lacks in function compared to QuickBooks Desktop. However the Enterprise version does more thank Desktop and so its functionality and ease is much more pleasing and useful. The reporting, the setup and the processing are all much easier and functional in QB Desktop Enterprise.

I only have experience using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, so I cannot speak to how it compares to other software. I can say, however, that I am very pleased with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and have not once considered the need to look into other software options. QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise gives the company everything it needs and leaves no reason to look at other avenues.

These other options are quite a bit more complex, customizable, and provide lots of options for creating custom integrations. However they all come with an exceptionally high yearly price tag and would require additional programming time to setup those additional features. Most of the features we need are already baked in to QuickBooks.

We have used Peachtree and also a home version of an accounting program and we cant even compare to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise's professional and diverse software.

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise was chosen for all that it offers and how easy it is to use. I think QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise also has a top of the line customer service support center.

This is a long list, and every program has it's pros and cons. Ultimately we chose Quickbooks because of simplicity, 3rd party integrations, and cost.

I have not used any other software outside of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. The only one that may be close is another Intuit product of Quicken for Home & Small Business. Both are from Intuit but serve a different purpose.
