Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop Pro

We Use QuickBooks Desktop Pro to track sales, send invoicing, show historical data with graphs, store website log in information and pay all State and Federal income taxes. We also file all taxes through QuickBooks Desktop Pro. This allows us to streamline our accounting. We can also create reports when asked for details. Reporting is very important and QuickBooks Desktop Pro has great functionality.

Cons

  • Deleting Old Billing with their partner Melio is hard. Melio has no customer service but is now interfaced with QuickBooks Desktop Pro
  • In my experience, update patches can be slow and buggy
  • In my experience, customer service rarely admits when it is their software causing the problem and instead wastes your time. Or, I think the techs are literally behind the curve on issues that can occur when they update the software.
  • Allowed me to track non paying accounts
  • Allowed me to dismiss under performing accounts
  • create macros for entries
We are able to use QuickBooks Desktop Pro to meet all of our needs in our business.

well suited for business with employees
Less well suited for DBAs . This is only from a cost benefit point of view.
The more employees and customers and vendors you have the better off you are with QuickBooks Desktop Pro due to its ease of sorting and ability to do look backs for your history
