Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write

Hello, I'm an Assistive Technology evaulator and consultant with a special education school in Massachusetts. Read&Write is very useful in helping students with specific learning disability with many features. I have some feedback around the integrations of CoWriter.

Pros

  • Speech to Text
  • Audio playback - new AI voices are great
  • Ease of access with Chrome extension

Cons

  • Word Prediction - please, please bring back visual accommodations from CoWriter! This was a HUGE benefit for so many of our students!
  • Word Prediction - web scraped topics - please bring these back, so nice for students
  • Text leveler
  • student access
  • student outcomes to learning
It helps many students with reading disabilities in both listening to information and using speech to text amongst other features
Too many write, but the impact of having this tool versus not for many students is significant. I recommend Read&Write frequently for this population.
Apple Accessibility, Chrome Accessiblity built in features.
