Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift
For the Operation of our HealthCare Customers. Also for development of our self programmed Tools and the Redhat Linux for our Servers
Pros
- Works very stable
- Scaling horiz. & vertical
- Fast Upgrades of the hole Plattform
Cons
- Subs. are too expensive
- Different variations of Subs for Apps that are still not optimized for Container
- Productdescriptions what Subs (OpenShift Standard / Middelware Pack) do we need for which App/Technologie
- Costs are higher then on VM, because a lot of APPS are not ready for Red Hat OpenShift/Container
- Updates are faster, mostly without downtime
More Standards, Faster Deploymend from DEV to PROD
We only have Red Hat OpenShift on-premises in our Datacenters
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and AWS CloudFormation
