Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Star assessments for benchmarks 3 times a year. We also use the star programs for progress monitoring students. We use the data to guide instruction and group students. It works well with the Freckle program.

Grouping students.
Clear reports.

Does not take up entire screen on Chromebooks.
The testing well well- no suggestions.

Not applicable.
We are in education- hopefully scores will increase.
Hopefully gaps will decrease. We are testing soon and will have hard data soon.

Alternatives Considered

Last year we used Let's Go Learn. I do prefer this program. The tests are easy to administer and the data is clear and easy to use. We used Renaissance in the past with AR reading and Math. I do miss those programs. It is not a direction the district was going in.

My district is currently using them for our benchmark testing. As far as scenarios, as an elementary school- not a business- the question does not really apply. All scenarios are made to work as it is a benchmark test.

When presenters show us how to use the program they need to have a full class size of data. During training, there were only 5 or 6 sample students. Classes are more like 25 and that makes the training more realistic to have similar data to what we will use.
