Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®

We use RUN Powered by ADP® to process our biweekly payrolls, perform payroll reporting, and reimburse employees for business expenses they incur on behalf of the company. There aren't any specific business problems that RUN Powered by ADP® solves for us, other than just normal payroll services. We are a moderately small company with about 25 employees.
  • Easy to enter and process recurring payrolls.
  • Easy to enter and pay reimbursements.
  • Easy for employees to log in and see pay stubs.
  • Easy to download reports for importing transactions into our accounting software.
  • Ability to import files for processing/entering payroll could be helpful.
  • Better user interfaces for the ability to freeze panes/headers when entering payroll info for processing.
  • Easier report customization/report writing features.
  • Positive: Faster payroll processing working directly with ADP.
  • Negative: Advice and guidance provided is not always clear, and is more generic.
Employees greatly appreciate the ability to directly access and review their pay stubs and information on file.

RUN Powered by ADP® seems well suited for basic payroll entry and processing for small to medium-sized companies. The website is fairly clean and simple to understand. The Help button is very useful and the live chat has great customer service. It isn't a great solution for more complicated payroll scenarios, and sometimes corrections can be finicky, but overall it's a good system.

RUN Powered by ADP® Implementation

Make sure there's plenty of time between payrolls for the implementation and be sure to test all the manually inputted fields.
  • Third-party professional services
ADP performed the implementation themselves since we were transferring from ADP RUN with an accounting firm (wholesale) to using ADP RUN directly (retail)
Change management was minimal
  • Loss of historical transaction data from the prior ADP system (our previous payrolls were only imported in total amount YTD into the new ADP system)
  • Manual entry of employee transferred information— there was no automated transfer of data between ADP wholesale to ADP retail
