Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®

I posted a job using Zip Recruiter and it worked well but we hired another person. We were able to onboard using RUN Powered by ADP®, which saved some time in having the applicant complete certain paperwork early.
I run semi-monthly payroll for the office and use the Retirement Service product. It helps to have the 401k plan part of the payroll service to eliminate duplicate work around processing and administering the 401k plan.
  • Intuitive and easy to use and implement.
  • Retirement Service makes it easy to have employee deductions and distributions to their 401k plan investment choices.
  • Employees can access their data and update themselves.
  • Being a small company and as a designated owner, the employee who processes payroll is the only person that gets the notification that payroll is submitted. As the "Owner," it would be best if the "owner" could also get a copy of the processing of payroll. I have to log in to review what was actually submitted...so if incorrect and I miss checking immediately, an employee could be paid incorrectly.
  • The PTO / vacation accrual product does not have the ability to provide a "liability" report of what the accrual balances owed are. I started using the product only to find out that a liability report was not available, nor could it be created.
  • Employee change form is only available after payroll is submitted. It would be more helpful to have the change form available before submission so any potential incorrect changes could be identified before running a final payroll.
  • Being the first year, fees are less expensive that my prior 3rd party processor.
  • Saves time in 401k management.
  • Former PTO liability report is now calculated manually and not available in RUN Powered by ADP®.
Having employee access has worked well as we used to have to update accounts manually. Using the Retirement Services product has allowed employees to update their deductions as well.
Haven't had the need to use yet.
Due to downsizing, we switched to save on fees and to be able to take advantage of the Retirement plan to save my time on transferring funds to the separate 401k plan. This allowed for more streamlining of procedures.

Super easy to implement. This version that my company is on works for a small company where internal control audits are not performed and the "owner" can trust that payroll is being submitted properly without too much oversight. I heard that there is another platform with many other features that I could use, but it is "only available to a headcount of 25 or more."
