Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®

I have had experience with the recruiting, onboarding, and background check integrations. It was easy to navigate throughout the process. The chat function within RUN has been very beneficial and saved time waiting on the phone for certain situations.
We switched to RUN by ADP mainly for ADP's 401K Program. There wasn't a major problem with our old payroll provider. There were some frustrations that were growing such as customer support, unresolved issues with time off, and cost.

Pros

  • User friendly and easily navigated by employees.
  • Compliance with laws.
  • Additional resources, Learning Library and Perks.
  • Ease of administration for running payroll.

Cons

  • Employees cannot see hire date through their employee accounts.
  • Only option for hourly employees is current time. Meaning miss-punches due to punching early or late.
  • If you have overtime and vacation within same week need to manually add overtime to the overtime column. If not the system only pays regular time. It is pretty easy to do though we only have 29 employees. I would not want to do this for numerous people.
  • We have been able to increase our participation in our 401(K) program to 80%. ADP retirement portal is very useful with a lot of resources. We are also promoting the resources on the platform as well.
Employees have stated the portal is easy to navigate and access available information. They can update personal information, tax information, and review all necessary information.
Majority of employees use the app to request time off and view available time.
It has been really helpful to have issues flagged while running payroll. Before you process payroll, if there is something off about an employees pay the system will display a message stating the employee is either being paid more or less than normal. A great check before payroll is actually processed.

The system is well suited for compliance. I trust RUN and ADP to be on top of the ever changing regulations. The system will let you know if there are major changes for an employees paycheck while processing payroll. This gives you the opportunity to double check before finalizing payroll.

If you want customization I would not recommend RUN. It is not that customizable when it comes to specific ways to pay hourly employees. It is only current pay. This means employees have to be very good at punching in and out on time.
