Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is the main software used for financial reporting, transaction management, AP, and AR. The timesheet and expense entry was cumbersome in the past so we've partnered with 10K and Nexonia respectively for a more streamlined process. Through the 2018 Advantage event, there is great consideration to discuss a potential reversion to using Intacct.
- There are considerations within the Sage Intacct platform that other services do not provide. Case in point, when you pull up a list of clients, the interface also gives you the current AR balance for that client. It saves time on system management and housekeeping when you're culling down the client list for active clients.
- The accessibility to import anything is amazing if we're unable to enter within the Sage Intacct platform. My company rolled out a project pricing tool to align everyone on new engagements and it's a painless process in uploading a new budget.
- It's a full ERP system and I am a new user shy of 4 months. I am looking forward to continuing using Sage Intacct to uncover its capabilities in the months and years to come.
- Through Advantage 2018, I am learning about the report writing tool. We have plans to integrate Dashboards which is a function not currently being used to its maximum potential.
- The immediate interface could use some customization fields. When I look at the project codes created, it's difficult to discern when a project was created. For a company of any size, as long as you have turnover in the company, seeing the project code, client ID, project type without specific details for who created the project code, the date it was created, and the full client name is an inconvenience every day.
- SYPartners moved away from using Intacct's timesheets and employee expense report submission features because of the cumbersome process. I would love for us to be able to revert back to full reporting into Sage Intacct for a direct picture view for Dashboard reports.
- I've been with the company just shy of 4 months. The overall impression is that we're optimistic to utilize Sage Intacct's capabilities as much as possible following the return from Advantage 2018. I'm very excited to take advantage of the new features being rolled out in November 2018 and in the coming Spring 2019!
At Advantage 2018, I went to a class for Best Practices for the Month-End Close. My month end close does not seem as robust as the other companies with the pains of tying in every GL to the trial balance. The software fulfills all your reporting needs once the customized report is created. I've learned about creating a reporting group at Advantage 2018 and am looking forward to maximizing this feature to have a quicker close.
Maconomy provided more information and a customized view when pulling up lists, i.e. job codes, invoices, client lists. Everything was there without the need to pull a report. I'm experiencing difficulty in finding this information or capability in Sage Intacct.
Not through the fault of Sage Intacct, I am also trying to find out how to be able to reconcile the client expense WIP for what's been invoiced and has not. It's also difficult to find what has been addressed/reviewed and what is new to the project code.
