Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct for all of our accounting & finance functions. Our organization has multiple entities, and Sage Intacct was one of the best systems for our nonprofit needs. The flexibility of their dimensions and features is why we keep using the software and are happy with the team. Sage Intacct also has several marketplace partners that help with integrations or outsourcing.

  • Ability to pay bills with multiple bank accounts (similar to Yardi)
  • Most of the features to leverage Sage Intacct cost more and could add up quickly if you're not careful

Sage Intacct is a robust system that you can truly customize to fit your own business needs. The customization has helped create meaningful financial reports and insights for our internal team and colleagues outside of finance and accounting. As an administrator, creating rules to limit data entry errors also helped our organization avoid spending time at month-end creating reclassification journal entries. The Sage Intacct team is also willing to help if you have any questions about capabilities or limitations.
Sage Intacct is helpful if you want to reconfigure your system if it is inherited. They can provide options for cleaning up historical data. Thankfully, I have not had the need to do this, but it was nice to know that any future restructuring could be possible with Sage Intacct.

As someone in the nonprofit space, I've used Intacct for budgeting, financial reporting, allocating expenses, customizing approval sets, and creating data validations and workflows. Sage Intacct has many 3rd party vendors to give you even more flexibility to fit many business needs. It's a robust system I would recommend to organizations who want to build and scale and are comfortable with a system that will grow with them. For any organization looking to implement Sage Intacct, it would be best to scope your needs and how Intacct can satisfy them within the system or 3rd party partners to get a true cost-benefit analysis of implementation.
