Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

I produce Financials, reconcile accounts including bank accounts, pay the bills weekly and support the yearly Audit. I also process and journal entries for Sage Intacct and manage users (IDs/security). I create sales orders and support all purchase orders for the company. We were able to transition to a paperless environment in 2020 and attach all supporting documentation in Sage for journal entries and Invoices.

Pros

  • Download account activity to facilitate account and bank recons
  • Download key reports that produce financial statement in excel
  • Attach documents to enable a paperless environment

Cons

  • The help functionality can be improved with explanations and topics that are clearer.
  • Would like to see better formatting of 1099 forms for IRS reporting
  • We are able to produce financials that help our organization with key decisions
The downloading capability enables us reconcile accounts, run reports including funding reports.
Our vendor and outside vendors helped link Expensify (for expense reporting) and the Salesforce for the sales and purchasing module.

I used SAP at a different organization which is used for larger corporations.
Well suited for small organizations. The downloading of data is excellent for use in reconciling accounts. The security features are vague and I usually need help for Sage/Intacct to complete.
