Good, but could be great
Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct as an upgrade from Sage 50 accounts. It has helped us speed up our accounts receivable process and provided us with the useful cash management application where we can reconcile our bank accounts using real live banking transactions. We have also made us of the custom financial reporting which we are looking to increase use of in the coming momths.
Pros
- Importing bulk transactions
- Customized reporting
- Audit trail
- Speed
Cons
- Automatic allocation of advances and adjustments
- Easier process converting purchase orders to invoices
- Improved formatting for financial reports
- Accurate bank transaction dates
- Freed up time for finance team to work on other areas
- Improved audit trail
- Better transaction transparency
Automation has made it much easier to import several thousand invoices at once, and then the corresponding payments that are automatically allocated based on the invoice number. In Sage 50 accounts before, this process was quite manual. Importing large journals is also much better as they are imported quickly. In addition, the error messages that are provided are useful for resolving issues with the imports.
Sage Intacct is an upgrade from Sage 50 in most areas. Sage 50 became quite slow and crashed quite often, whereas Sage Intacct is much quicker. However, now we have thousands of transactions the imports have started to take a while. For example AR receipts imports can take up to 15 minutes if they are a couple thousand lines, but still quicker than Sage 50.
