Sage Intacct hits the mark!
Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct as an integration tool to help communicate our purchase orders with our accounting team, so our accounts payable employees know when an order has been properly received in order to process the payment. Its a full loop system that tracks orders from the day they are created to the day they are paid.
Pros
- Allows multiple users to view the information in the system
- It creates necessary road blocks
- It is very user friendly
Cons
- We have issues with the tax calculation due to our unique tax alignment
- Its hard to make adjustments after payments have been posted
- The "error" codes that pop up are very vague
- Overall employee satisfaction
- Communication between departments has greatly increased
- The amount of errors has decreased tremendously
The main automated technique we use within Sage Intacct is our ability to upload entries into the General Ledger. Most of our month end procedures are currently calculated on Excel spreadsheets and the smooth transition to upload those documents into Sage Intacct has been saving us a lot of time. We are looking at other automated systems, but we just haven't integrated them into our system yet.
We currently do have two separate entities set up within our system. Being able to post in the "Top Level" and having those entries be split between both entities has helped us greatly. Cutting down on the intercompany entries saves us a lot of time and money. It also cuts down on the number of errors that usually comes with those intercompany entries being coded wrong.
We used to operate with SAGE 300 and the updated system of Sage Intacct compared to 300 is extraordinarily better in all aspects. The user friendly dashboard and simplified version is far more advanced than the old 300 system. The ability to see reports and collecting more precise data from the system was the main selling point of moving toward a new system.
