Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use it for our book keeping. It is very helpful in using live reports which allow us to see general ledgers for accounts without having to pull a separate report. We also have to use specific accounting coding since our clients are charter schools and Sage Intacct has a very smooth process of adding and adjusting general ledger accounts, fund codes and location codes.

Pros

  • Live reports that allow you to pull general ledgers directly from balance sheets, income statements, etc.
  • Live dashboard that make seeing the live data easily accessible for us and clients.
  • Easy process to add and edit general ledger accounts, funds and location codes.
  • Ability to edit journal entries.

Cons

  • Building reports can sometimes be difficult with mapping account groups
  • Syncing with Bill.com software sometimes has issues.
  • Editing bills sync'ed from Bill.com is a hassle.
  • Providing Realtime financials to clients.
  • Providing accurate reports quickly.
  • Easy to access dashboard for clients.
We have benefited especially from the general ledger. The fact you can pull live reports and see general ledgers directly from income statements and balance sheets speeds up our reporting process and is so user friendly. AP adjustments are helpful when items do not sync from other software. This has made our clients happy.
I had to do it on my own. It can be very difficult at first but once you get the hand of it there is not too much of a problem. I find the hardest part is building reports and ensuring account groups are mapping correctly. Setting us users is pretty easy too.

It is a lot easier to use than other software we have used previously. While setting up clients and getting trained on the software can be difficult at first, once you are trained it is very user friendly. Pulling live reports is something other software we have used do not have which speeds up the process of reporting.
