Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

VI (vendor invoice) & PO (purchase order) - creations / reports for financial support references / I think your questions are highly difficult to answer. In my experience, the software is not user friendly and so disappointing. Two months in and just too many rooms for error. Difficult to maneuver within screen drop downs... going into too many windows to use: Other transaction activity : View transactions to look VIs up to edit/ post or go into Transactions Community Care Clinic..... extra windows that are unnecessary. Just a user here not a decision maker for agency. This is my opinion & am doing my best each day to adjust.

Pros

  • nothing as of yet
  • just 2-3 months in to using software program
  • not user friendly
  • trying to remain postive.

Cons

  • less screens to go to (one stop VI/ Purchase order window)
  • reports too many details and then error happens and you have to start all over again.
  • while in VI creation- You have to save ever second (every entry while entering a visa statement or multi-line invoice ) if one detail is left out. you lose entire entry and have to start all over again.
  • Try using actual G/L accounts (NUMBERS)- over complicated process.
  • In my experience, too complicated "process wise" looking up approvals of VIs.
  • Worse looking up Payment details.
  • Still trying to hold onto being positive. Three months into site usage.
  • Spend too much time with written account names and needs to simplify using actual G/L # so much quicker and best reference.
In my opinion, process is too much and over detailed - signature gathering (electronic filing)- draft/ pending / convert/ closed "just too much". User who creates VI and in draft mode can't delete their own Vi is ridiculous...... crippling. Putting more work on the user and the different upper levels of finance just doesn't make sense.
3 months into using this and not a favorite. Just my opinion. THank you.
I can't give a zero; didn't hear very good things through the process. Still working out issues and again remaining positive and eyes wide open. I am very fortunate to work closely with Agency Finance and being part of a programs finance leadership,,,,, just can't seem to get over the over complicated process to pay a simple invoice... G/L accounts have always been numbers not just words, and the VI creator should be able to delete their own "DRAFT" VI...... not having to go to upper level of agency finance team to have to ask.
Sadly miss our former finance software...... it wasn't perfect but so much better for user and for report gathering...... looking up easy reference.... Vendor invoicing, Asset Management, Journal Entries, Purchase Order Processing, etc. SO MUCH BETTER. I wasn't part of the decision making or quote choices for vendor process.
