Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is our primary financial accounting system. We are a mid-size non-profit in a metro area that runs multiple programs side-by-side along with a robust grant-making initiative for local agencies. Most of our programs are also grant-funded. Sage Intacct allows us to run multiple revenue streams alongside one another and provide custom reports to each program manager.

Pros

  • User friendly interface
  • Quick issue resolution
  • Integration with payroll software

Cons

  • Custom Reporting has been difficult for us to engage
  • Interface could be more aesthetically pleasing
  • Cost - we need to use more parts of this system to fully justify the cost
  • Automated reporting means people have current information and don't have to ask Accounting about every expenditure
  • API with payroll software has eased our payroll processing and allowed us to keep the department small
  • Formalized Vendor accounts allow us to practice DEI in selecting which vendor to use
We recently adopted a new payroll software. The software integrates with Sage Intacct, eliminating the manual process of journaling. Prior to the integration with Sage Intacct and ADP, we were manually processing time cards, manually adding payroll journal entries, and manually checking them against the payroll ledger. The integration has saved us time, effort, and keystrokes!
We have not used these modules but definitely see a potential for their use. Sage Intacct has a lot to offer but it takes time to learn all that it can do. If/when we have more manpower and more free time, we would like to explore the use of Time and Effort Reporting.
I came on right at the end of our implementation schedule so I was not a part of the early discussions and did not play a role in the implementation and configuration. However, I can attest to the support offered in those early days. We had a dedicated support rep who was there to walk us through anything that we didn't understand.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Sage Intacct might be too robust for my organization. There are a lot of features that we do not use and wouldn't know where to start if trying to implement. Working in a mid-size non-profit organization, we don't have the manpower to devote to learning the cool stuff Sage Intacct could do.
