Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce.com

We use Salesforce.com throughout the whole organization - account management, marketing, support, HR, and AR/AP. Our billing system is integrated into SFDC and we make millions of API calls a day to it. Salesforce.com is inextricably tied to our business and it solves a whole host of problems for us, not limited to:

1. CRM of note. All of our contact data lives in Salesforce.com. We have no other database
2. Content repository
3. Integrated into our web conferencing solution for better sales rep demos
4. Sales activity tracking
5. Opportunity track
6. Revenue tracking
7. Conversion tracking

  • Now with Data.com, SFDC handles data cleaning and data appending in a more seamless fashion than most other vendors
  • Workflow is easy to build and easy to implement
  • Campaign tracking and member tracking
  • Dashboard and report creation is not at all intuitive. Powerful and flexible just a hard UI to work with. The relationship between the report you create and the dashboard you want to show is not altogether evident
  • Lead to contact conversion could be more flexible when dealing with multiple leads records that all belong to the same company. Checks should be made here to make sure you convert all of the leads that might be associated with a particular account
  • Reporting objects are too structured. Better cross object reporting
  • Year over Year comparisons (in the same chart) are not easy in SFDC through their reporting and it should be an out of the box solution.
  • One view of the truth
  • Visibility into all of our business processes from each department
  • Improved efficiency
  • Better ticket tracking and customer service
  • Better account management and triage of under performing accounts
I have used Access and Sugar. SFDC is by a far the best of those two. The great thing about SFDC is that they are actively developing and acquiring companies to bring the best experience to their customers.
Our business is integrated so tightly into SFDC that not renewing would have a huge impact on our business.
1. What type of marketing automation are you currently using?
2. What web conferencing provider are you using and do you want sales demo information synced into SFDC?
