Overall Satisfaction with

Salestools was used as a drip email tool for email outreach.
  • The only differentiator, and the reason why we decided to purchase it was the automatic addition of new contacts to the drip campaign. But the feature is so buggy that you can't really count it as something Salestools does well.
  • You can't have custom fields, so forget about having customized emails other than the basic Name, Title, Company.
  • Salestools is plenty of super cool features, all (at least all the ones we used) are buggy and unusable in the end.
  • Can't have blacklisted addresses and domains.
  • Support will take days to respond, especially if you report a bug (it seems they will work extra hard to fix the bug, and then tell you that it didn't exist in the first place)
  • Virtually every other feature has bugs.
  • Very negative ROI. We burned high-value contacts that were wasted on bugs, problems, and week-long delay in support responses.
  • Management is dishonest. As a business owner and entrepreneur that wish was told this before becoming a client: Stay away.
I selected at that time because of one single differentiator that I couldn't find with any other vendor: Email cadence on autopilot. But the feature was so buggy that I can't count it as a differentiator.
All the rest of features are to be found in any of its competitors like SalesLoft, Yesware, ToutApp, etc.
We tried understanding open and reply rates using Salestools reports, but the numbers were so skewed that we ended counting by hand.
I imagine that Salestools is well suited for very low value or transactional sales processes where the churn rate is high.
