Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

It's used company wide throughout several departments: Finance, SCM, Sales, Customer Review analysis etc. It is aimed to be the single reporting solution within the company.
  • Web-based solution; no software distribution required.
  • Blending local data with governed data.
  • Proper connectivity towards SAP BW and SAP HANA systems.
  • Easy to learn.
  • Single entry point for users with the SAP Analytics Hub.
  • "Formula" options to tweak data labeling, grouping and such are very limited.
  • User interface is sometimes inconsistent or not logically setup.
  • Scheduling and alerting options are missing.
  • Administration options are still pretty basic, far from what BOBJ and BW are offering.
  • More (live) connectivity options would be nice.
  • Mobile app is lacking features (i.e. support for live prompts).
  • Comments cannot be managed.
SAP Analytics Clouds offers native connectors to other SAP systems like SAP BW, SAP HANA and the cloud solutions like SAP Concur, SAP Fieldglass and Successfactors.
More live (SAP) sources are required!
We need more options to manage this feature. Not all users should have (some of) these options.
For most reporting scenarios SAP Analytics Cloud(SAC) is a perfectly fine solution. It does the job in visualizing data and offering an easy to use ad-hoc analysis platform. In case very specific interface and interactivity requirements are necessary, the Analytics Designer option can be used which is basically a Lumira Designer successor in the cloud. A cool feature is the option to combine (blend) your company data from a live SAP HANA or BW system with some local (spreadsheet) data. Besides the reporting solutions the tool offers very interesting options for "smart" data analysis where the system itself does an analysis on your data and provides the insights.
