Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

Currently, it is being used in Mexico for some operational reports to get information to business operators through the mobile application. There are also talks to replace Roambi on the US side and implement SAP Analytics Cloud as a replacement. We are using it within the IT Delivery Lead International Solutions department.

Pros

  • Live connection with SAP HANA Database in the number of records
We also evaluated the use of Tableau and other SAP tools (Lumira and Crystal Reports), however as a company we are going with the new SAP products first. One example that helped with our decision was that connecting Tableau to SAP HANA had complications. In addition, our company is moving to a cloud-first strategy, therefore, SAP Analytics Cloud provides those capabilities needed for future growth.
We have had our challenges accessing the data, however, I think that this is more of an internal challenge. We are currently connected to an SAP HANA 2.0 database.
Sharing of data is one of the big features that SAP Analytics Cloud has. It allows operators to share their insights through email or pdf files in a rapid way. Also, in the past reports were created by only one person and sent to the rest of the teams. Now everyone who has access to SAP Analytics Cloud can do so from their laptops or mobile devices.
SAP Analytics Cloud is a powerful solution and the future of SAP; for our company, it has given the flexibility to build new reports for business users that, in the past, were hard to build in different applications. SAP is constantly releasing upgrades and features that make it a more powerful tool. In the future, I see my company expanding our reporting capabilities with the help of SAP Analytics Cloud.
