Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

As SAP Solution Providers, our goal is to recommend/Implement solutions to our clients in various areas of SAP. SAP Analytics Cloud is one of our key focus areas where we've proposed the solution to our clients mostly for retail/business planning solutions in the cloud using SAC. Our key focus is to give multiple approaches to the clients to choose the one that best suits their needs. For example, we recommend SAC as a hybrid model or as a complete cloud model.

Pros

  • Self-discovery mode for users to gain insights with the click of buttons.
  • Planning solution in the cloud for SAP BPC/Non-SAP users with seamless collaboration between planners.
  • Data integration or wrangling data from SAP, non-SAP data sources with machine learning capabilities that auto-suggest the transformations.
  • Use of configurable charts/graphs/geo-maps for visualizations.
  • cCustomize the visualizations per customer requirement using analytical applications.
  • Time series forecast based on the historical data.
  • Natural language processing using the user's own language. You get the results in the form of charts.
  • Planners can maintain the private versions and make them public once they are finalized

Cons

  • Broadcasting functionality to publish the reports would help.
  • A data service to connect to AWS cloud RDS.
  • Conversation intelligence integration with SAC.
  • Write-back to ERP/BPC systems.
If SAP Analytics cloud had mobile capability for Android devices it would be great compared to other products like Power BI/Tableau.
1. Well suited for planning solutions to integrate SAP BPC/Non-SAP data. Planners can collaborate seamlessly.
2. Time-series forecasting where you can leverage historical data for forecasting.
3. Customize visualizations using analytical applications.
4. Geo-maps to view data based on the locations.
5. Good to have SAC mobile capability for Android devices.
