Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

Its a wonderful product, we heavily use it to publish our Releases Matrix. We tried using other product but the seamless integration with S/4 DB proved game changing, most of our time is sent on actual data visualization instead of connections and API management. Team is able to track and validate the Program overall status along with the factors affecting the progress for the roadmap.

Pros

  • Very good integration with S/4 DB
  • Easy to create data models
  • Easy to visualize the data

Cons

  • sometime more calculations are needed, and having only few expression is a limit
  • the subscription rates are somewhat high
  • more and elaborated tutorial with SAP community will increase the adoption rate for SAP SAC
  • I do not see a negative impact other then the subscription charge is on little higher side
  • the Turn around time from requirement to reporting has reduced a lot
  • all and all I do not see any negative points
Its easy to use for developer, also the end user is able to understand it very well. Users can change the look and feel of the provided reports with their domain specific requirement, and this is very effective.
we have to explicitly publish our data in the form of odata service from SAP system, this require a good amount of work for API development and requirement of SAP Developer skill set. With SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) this is not needed and the adoption of SAC becomes very easy

Users wanted to track daily / monthly/ quarterly sales across the Stores with a comparison option, allowing user to get a highlighted view of the factors effecting the sales, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) proved here very helpful as we were able to generate the comparison with each filter very easily, other product also provide this capability but SAC offers the same in such a easy contest that adopting feels like a walk in a Garden when one on SAC
