Overall Satisfaction with SAP Ariba Procurement

We are using the SAP Ariba Procurement for sourcing items from suppliers, managing supplier information, and awarding the finalized suppliers the contracts. We also collaborate with Suppliers in Ariba Network for all the transaction documents like purchase orders, order confirmations, advance ship notices, service entry sheets, goods receipts, and invoices.

  • Real-time collaboration with the suppliers
  • User-friendly UI for the business users to work on
  • Good integration options with ERP systems
  • Better support from SAP Ariba Procurement in resolving service requests
  • More demos on the solutions provided in SAP Ariba Procurement rather than just the documentation
  • Opportunity for real-time communication with suppliers has been a big plus
  • When regression testing is not properly done for new release features, it impacts existing scenarios
SAP Ariba has products for source through contract scenarios which have been very useful and the experience using those modules, including SAP Ariba Procurement, has been very good.

Do you think SAP Ariba delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with SAP Ariba's feature set?

Yes

Did SAP Ariba live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of SAP Ariba go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy SAP Ariba again?

Yes

For pros, it works extremely well for events and the processes surrounding them and real-time collaboration with suppliers. Having the option for suppliers to host their catalogs is extremely valuable. SAP Ariba Procurement has a user-friendly UI and is easy to use for the business users.

For cons, it's less appropriate when we want to integrate lots of fields to back-end ERP systems.
