Fits perfectly for developers without any "traditional" SAP knowledge to develop simple and encapsulated stand-alone solutions which should be available on the public internet. If companies already use a lot of SAP solutions (S/4, Ariba, etc.) that provide a lot of extensibility possibilities and already have a high complexity also in terms of integration, it is not a good idea to try to develop their own things from scratch in this context. If you use SAP products, you REALLY SHOULD leverage the options of each product to extend them.
