Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used the SAP BTP in an experimental feature as a part of our in house weeklong hackathon to build an intelligent chatbot.We saw that it has a nice, user-friendly user interface and the conversational AI service is pretty good. We planned to use it to develop the tools and technology that enable personalized conversational experiences for Intuit products. Our purpose was to build an conversational AI bot, which would have NLP and Knowledge engine and would give the user steps to perform certain tasks.
We planned to use this in one of Intuit's core product, Quickbooks.
For example, when asked, "Add new user" the bot would list all the steps needed to create an account for a new user.

Pros and Cons

Documentation around usage can be more descriptive.
We would have loved to have more users in the free tier.
I think the free tier only allows dev space of 4gb, would be nice to have a bigger space to add a bigger KE
SAP Business Application Studio had a limit of 2 users per session. The size of our team was 5, so we had to keep switching in order to use it.

Return on Investment

Allowed us to build a conversational AI based chatbot
It was useful in demo'ing to stakeholders the power of AI and how it can be used to help customers
Would probably have a good impact if we went for the paid version, but we had a very small use case of it, so cannot say for sure.

Usability

I do not have knowledge of this because we used a very small subset of its functionalities for building a AI chatbot.

Likelihood to Recommend

I have limited exposure to SAP BTP. We used this only to create a chatbot for our hackathon project.
We used the free trial tier. It is decent as a free trial product, and gave us a good experience. It is a good platform if you want to jump start your development and have automation with prebuilt workflows and RPA bots. It also helps us to manage the end to end AI lifecycle in one central place.
