SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence is generally used in our organisation for creating dashboards with some specific and dynamic drill downs, with additional reports, SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence helps the stakeholders get an on demand status for KPIs which help taking correct decisions promptly. SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence can be easily attached to SQL database views with the help of OLEDB connections.

  • Its very tightly coupled with other SAP products
  • UI is little less intutive
  • Requires some technical knowledge in attaching views to reports

  • Provides ways to promptly takes decisions which helps in allocating resources efficently
  • It requires some technical supervision for best integration but after that it can be utilized properly by non tech personal as well.
For my use case, I have utilised SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence to provide with realtime reports and dashboard with query drilldowns for end users to easily access data of facilities they manage. Which provides them proper insigths to take meaningful decisions properly. So this checks every point of our requirements to be fulfilled moreover, it is light weight and easily integrated to websites as well.
SAP is a great tool with alot of ways to intergarte in apps and is tightly coupled with other SAP tools which makes it easier in exporting reading the data from different softwares which makes the analysis and predictive models efficient.
Other softwares like PowerBI are widly used and also very compatible, but SAP provides more ways you can integrate to softwares.

It is good for invoice based reporting, along with Official documentation for facility management, like keeping track of rentable space along with revenue calculations, it helps in connecting with web applications which use sql databases, and it is very helpful in fetching real-time updates. The only aspect with it is that the Report creation requires some technical knowledge.
