Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur
SAP Concur is used for travel management. Everything from generating an itinerary to booking transportation and lodging, all from within the SAP Concur application. Prior to SAP Concur, we had been using the trip module integrated within SAP. The trip module was an older piece of software that is beginning to lose support and was cumbersome to update the perdiems

- It is difficult to get support on some features in a timely manner. The ICS connection status is not represented on the open.concur status page
- Many issues are not resolvable on our end and we must wait for SAP Concur
- Slowness, especially at our month end
- Forced some business rules to be simplified.
- We no longer have to manage little large monthly per diem changes. SAP Concur handles these automatically.
- I think SAP Concur has been a positive impact, except for a round month end when everyone needs to enter items and it slows down significantly.
The reason we implemented the SAP Concur solution is actually pretty simple. Our executive leadership team decided that is the way they wanted to go and that they wanted the experience that SAP Concur provides for travel. Another driving factor was that our trip module integrated into SAP was starting to lose support, and we needed to move to an approved supported solution.
Currently we have integrated SAP ECC 6.0 with SAP Concur. In our situation, we are sending a file to SAP Concur with the necessary information, and SAP Concur sends back through their ICS services, the information we need to reconcile with our system about the employees bookings and travel agenda.
Probably the most positive aspect of SAP Concur is that it replaced the aging trip module previously integrated with our SAP system. By using SAP Concur, we now have many years of support ahead of us, instead of a very short period remaining.
The users have appreciated SAP Concur because they can access it from nearly any device. Previously with a trip module integrated into SAP, it had to be accessed from within a PC web browser. This limited the employees as to when they could input their expenses and travel related agenda items.
