Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur

Concur is the official travel application in our organisation, used for creating travel requests, tracking the approval flow of travel requests, creating travel budgets, updating actual travel expenditures by uploading bills, and reimbursing travel expenses. It solved the end-to-end travel request process, from creation to final reimbursement. I use it whenever I have an official business trip, whether for overseas or local travel.

Pros

  • The UI is very clean and all the neceesaary features are easily accessible and is easy for a new suser to navigate
  • I like that prompt email notifications are sent at every stage of the request, which helps you to be updated with the request status.
  • Supports multiple currencies, which is particularly useful when traveling overseas, where expenses are in a foreign currency. When a request is made in a local currency, the system performs all necessary currency conversions.

Cons

  • I have noticed that when calculating actual expenses from the expense report, the prevailing exchange rate is considered, rather than the exchange rate at the time of the request, which causes a discrepancy in reimbursements. The exchange rate considered should be the same throughout the request.
  • It improves employee productivity as there is no effort by the employee to track the application status or carry out follow-ups, as the entire process is carried out seamlessly in the application with all necessary approval mechanisms in place.
I like that the interface is very easy to use and can be integrated with the SSO from the organisation, making signing in very easy, and has all the necessary features for creating and tracking easily accessible in the navigation panel.
It was integrated with the organisation's SSO. We are using Azure SSO, which facilitates easy sign-in, as well as IBM QAD for accounting and reimbursement purposes. All the applications were seamlessly integrated.
