Overall Satisfaction with SAP ERP
SAP ERP is our primary ERP platform. It's used across the whole organization. As an ERP platform, it helps us integrate business and technology processes across the whole spectrum from Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Account to Report, Hire to Retire, Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing & Execution. It has helped to bring in transparency, consolidate financials and have a better future forecast.
- Industry standard business processes with minimal customization.
- Seamless integration across all functional modules with readily available reporting capabilities.
- Availability of supporting solutions in the SAP universe like Business Intelligence, EWM, Employee Central, Concur etc.
- The core SAP ERP lacks the inviting user experience some of the modern solutions provide.
- The development, ongoing maintenance and consulting solutions tend to be more expensive.
- Slow to adapt technology changes.
- SAP has helped in transparency across different business unit and single financial view of the company that previously did not exist.
- The cost of supporting the solution is slightly higher than the previous ERP and the consulting solutions cost more.
- Overall SAP has brought in positive ROI and uniform business practices across the organization
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (formerly Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
SAP was found to be better suited for the manufacturing nature of our organization's business and provides robust process integrations across production, supply chain, order management, material master and inventory management. Although the user experience aspect was less than desirable, the business process consolidation outweighed this shortcoming. The cost of implementation and maintenance was higher for SAP.
