Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA

We have large amounts of data (finance mostly) and we are aiming to use HANA to speed up reporting and streamline user experience when using our systems.

Pros

  • Speed
  • Easy modeling
  • Connectivity to other SAP tools/platform (BW for example)

Cons

  • Data tiering for BW is still not mature enough (let's see with the new version).
  • We are in the implementation phase now. I don't expect positive ROI for at least 2-3 years.
Not yet but it is in the roadmap.
Currently, is not important but we don't discard the use of it in the future.
Yes, it impacted positively. First, greenfield implementation simplified our old model logic and allows us to shirk the data size almost 50%
We are trusting SAP and the roadmap they have provided. It just makes sense.
As with all support from SAP, I have good, bad and medium experiences, but in general, it is more good than others.
