Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA Cloud

We use SAP HANA Cloud as our central data platform for real-time reporting, data integration, and application extensions. It solves issues of data silos, slow analytics, and limited on-prem scalability. Our scope includes data modeling, virtualization, replication, and supporting migration to S/4HANA, enabling faster insights, unified data access, and scalable cloud-based operations.

  • Slow or complex transport and lifecycle management
  • Positive Impact: Real-time analytics and faster reporting improved decision-making and reduced operational delays.
  • Lower on-prem maintenance and scalable cloud resources increased productivity for development and analytics teams.
It’s powerful, fast, and well-integrated with SAP BTP, but usability is affected by the steep learning curve, complex HDI container concepts, and challenging setup for SDI/DP Agent. Once configured, it’s efficient, but onboarding and modeling complexity lower the overall usability score.

It’s less suited for heavy ETL processing, massive low-cost compute needs, unpredictable workloads, or very complex Calculation Views that require deep debugging. Best for high-performance, integrated, cloud-based data scenarios.
