Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SAP S/4HANA Cloud for various integration scenarios with SAP BTP services such as APM, ACF and many more. This SAP S/4HANA Cloud made our lives easier in the integration scenarios and implementation of the same in the customer tenants. We have been using it for the Plant Maintenance, where we have huge data to be reported and analyzed and SAP S/4HANA Cloud is the best possible solution we have right now, to achieve most of the things we are expected to do. It not only addresses the customer based solutions and also our own organization HR master data where we can use the Manage Workforce App as the mini SuccessFactors where we can maintain the employee data.

Pros and Cons

SAP S/4HANA Cloud does integration with other cloud systems such as SAP BTP, SuccessFactors and SAP Analytics Cloud and many more.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud provides us various business functionalities such as Plant Maintenance, Asset Management, Human Resources and sales as well
SAP S/4HANA Cloud extensibility not only completes with the cloud based systems but also the on-premise solutions such as ECC and many other SAP On-premise systems via cloud connector.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is best in providing various business solutions through a single-platform which accessible via public network and as well as keeping our data secured with role based access to the tenant.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud has to be better provided proper urls/names instead of random my****.SAP S/4HANA Cloud.sap, even though its tough to maintain the 1000's of domains at their Data center.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud should look more into real time data replication especially when the SAP S/4HANA Cloud is connected to the different system for example SAP S/4HANA Cloud connected to SAP BTP APM service and the sync of technical objects takes place only 1 per day which really effects the exploring scenarios and multiple other things.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud should provide the better functionalities in user on-boarding as of now it has been going through IPS and IAS by triggering jobs.
Its not completely on SAP S/4HANA Cloud itself, if the user has to provide sap help guides for understanding better on the business catalogs for multiple business scenarios which helps us in providing appropriate business role to business user.

Return on Investment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud of course increased efficiency, previously it used to take at-least 1 week to 2 weeks for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud if it is on-premise and now it barely takes 2-3 days for the procurement and one or 2 days for the implementation.
We are able to perform multiple integration scenarios which we haven't explored, which we just know as theoretically possible, now we are able to achieve them and implement them in multiple customers tenants with ease.
To maintain any SAP System either it is on-premise or hosting any other cloud like AWS or Azure would take lots of man hours which will be completely reduced here with SSAP S/4HANA Cloud. I think SAP S/4HANA Cloud gives better ROI in multiple business objectives and also so many positives in data processes and reporting them as well with analytics capabilities.

Usability

I would rate it 9/10 as it made our lives easier in many aspects such as procuring, implementation and most importantly maintaining the SAP system isn't simple and SAP made it easy by taking most of the ownership so that end users can explore more on the business objectives. It also processes the data very fast compared to many other SAP BTP services and which is quite impeccable and the extensibility to integrate with multiple other applications, systems is the best part of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. I ma missing out on 1 point is for the real time data-replication while integrated with other systems.

Key Differentiators

SAP S/4HANA Cloud has the better product features and product usability, it is very user friendly which makes lives easier in implementing or exploring the multiple business objectives and it acts as the common platform for multiple business functionalities, where we can switch between them by just clicking on the required tiles and this way it has many features to be explore them with proper help documents.

Alternatives Considered

SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, SAP Integration Suite and SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation

SAP S/4HANA Cloud will not stand out of most of the things I have mentioned above such as SAP Business Technology Platform/ SAP Integration Suite but why I choose SAP S/4HANA Cloud is because of its features for various business objectives and functionalities and its extensibility to connect to the various systems, which is definitely not possible with multiple cloud tenants of what we have.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is well suited for making real quick POC as it makes our lives easy starting from procurement to implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud in the organization and it is well suited for not only the smaller organizations but also for the bigger organizations especially of its capabilities to integrate with multiple other cloud systems such as SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud and on-premise systems as well. Even though system is accessible via public cloud the data inside the system is very secured, as it is role based authentication and access to the system involves two other cloud tenants as well. SAP S/4HANA Cloud comes as PAAS where it acts as the central launchpad where an organization can extend themselves in various business functionalities such as in Human Resources, Sales, Plant Maintenance, Asset Management with ease. SAP S/4HANA Cloud have to better look into real time data replication especially when it is being integrated, as of now few data syncs are happening once or twice per day and hoping SAP will bring the manual sync triggers soon.
