Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors

We use SuccessFactors for maintaining our employee data in Employee Central and also all connected modules including Recruiting, On-boarding, Compensation, Performance. We are solving to streamline processes and aid our HR business partners with the transactions the enter into the system.

Pros

  • aid with compensation cycles
  • easy configuration of employee central

Cons

  • If an user is assigned access using "Team View" they lose access to terminated employees that were sitting in their granted hierarchy
  • The reporting options are very limited and lack flexibility. Need more options for scheduling reports.
  • improve employee experience by allowing employees to go to one system to change their personal information or answer their questions on their own employment
  • Increase organization of security profiles and groups. Allows team to streamline access and continue to be compliant,
SuccessFactors is intuitive to use. An example are the tiles on an user's home page. They help guide the user to quick links and allow user's to see the tasks they need to do. Where there could be improvement is the multiple clicks is requires the user to see terminated employees for example.
It has improved our operational efficiency through the unification of all SuccessFactors modules and Employee Central. That has allowed our data to flow from module to module with ease and efficiency.
AI will help with a lot of the manual processes we enter in the system. Some areas where we can use AI is the by sending orientation emails to new hires, position to req work flows and organization of documents.
Oracle was more customizable than SuccessFactors.

While the system is easy to configure. There are many limitations to customize it the way your organization needs. The reporting tool is not user-friendly and would not recommend that tool. The Compensation and Performance modules are intuitive and easy to use.
