Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors HCM

SAP SuccessFactors HCM has helped us centralise employee information, provide a clear onboarding platform, enabled us to introuduce a standardised performance process, roll out learning and gives us acess to crucial employee data.

Pros

  • Onboarding - portal to allow new starters to fill in relevant forms etc
  • Dynamic org charts - very useful for navigating the company
  • Data - report centre enables customised reporting
  • Record of workflows, e.g. salary changes

Cons

  • Better user interface
  • Easier to naviagte report centre
  • Easier to find help
  • Far better reporting on employee demographics
  • Visibility on recruitment and how we are finding candidates
  • Visibilty and monitoring of our compliance eLearning with the learning module
The user interface is not very friendly. Most commands are found through a search, but there are no overall menus to choose from so if you don't know the name of the command you are unlikely to find it. An easy to use menu with the core areas of the system would be great.
Ensures a consitent approach across the company, e.g. onboarding in now through the SAP SuccessFactors HCM portal whereas previously it was a combination of emails / excel trackers etc. Consistency also achieved for performance management, previously we had many parts of the business taking different approaches (or no process) for performance and goals.
We have been experimenting with Joule but so far have not been ready to launch it - there have been issues with it accessing information not allowed for certain profiles, or changing employee records etc. Need to work through this further before we consider using it across the team.
We chose SAP SuccessFactors HCM for it's scale and for our projected growth and for the ability to add on modules.

OpenAir PSA, NetSuite ERP, Reward Gateway Employee Engagement Platform (SmartHub)
Suited for a large organsiation that is likely to use other SAP modules, e.g. finance.
Not as well suited to smaller organsations needing more agility. Can be very difficult to understand all the functionality and you liekly need someone on the team who is a systems expert.
